We have a new permanent Senior Librarian! Faegheh Mofidi has been serving as our interim Librarian since late 2005. Here at the Studio City Branch, she discovered a great professional staff with a goal to serve our community of avid readers. Her goal is to maintain and improve this noble tradition of providing great services to the community, satisfying the public’s educational and recreational needs, with staff support and patrons’ suggestions. Faegheh has a strong academic background with a degree in Cultural Anthropology, two graduate degrees from UCLA, an MLS in Library and Information Science and a Ph.D. in Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures. She has been teaching Persian language and literature at UCLA since 1993. Faegheh also has a long, varied, valuable LAPL experience. She has held many library positions: Children’s Librarian at Watts Branch; Young Adult Librarian at Mark Twain; Adult Librarian at Lake View Terrace; Acting Senior Librarian at Granada Hills; and now Senior Librarian at our Studio City Branch. The Friends are as pleased-happy-thrilled to be working with her as are all our Library Staff. Welcome Faegheh!
