If you have some ideas for programs you'd like to see,
feel free to e-mail me and let me know at jkelley@lapl.org

COMMUNITY SERVICE
If you are at least 14 years old and haven't yet graduated from high school, please think about us if you need to complete community service work (for school or scholarship). Come to the reference desk--we'll give you an application (to be completed by you and your guardian), and we'll put you to work up to two times a week, in 2-hour stints. You'll have to commit to 30 hours, and then I'll write a letter you can use for credit. Some of the things you'll do for us are shelving, straightening, processing new books, and getting this place in ship-shape!

GENRE CORNER

the 11th installment in the Gossip Girls series which
follows a group of friends going to a private school in NYC.
-Beautiful Stranger by Zoey Dean. This is the ninth book
from the popular A-List series about some teens growing up
here in LA.
-Crazy Hot by Melissa de la Cruz. The latest in the Au-Pairs
series.
...and last but not least don't forget that Harry Potter #7
